Dr. Joseph L. Imburgia is a native of Ohio. He attended Ohio State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree. He was a member of Phi Zeta Honorary Society and graduated from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. He practiced at companion animal hospitals in Nutley, N.J. and Ft. Lauderdale, FL for two years and three years respectively. He moved to New Port Richey, FL in 1980, built the Animal Hospital of New Port Richey and opened the doors in 1981. His outside interests are his grandchildren, running and kayaking.
Dr. Melissa Curry was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina and wanted to become a veterinarian since she was a young child. At the age of 14 she began working for a few different veterinarians in the Greensboro, NC area. It is here that her dreams to become a veterinarian began to take shape and become a reality. She went to University of North Carolina for her undergraduate studies where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree. Dr. Curry graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She practiced in Charlotte, NC for 4 years in a small animal & exotic practice and then relocated to Florida in December 1999. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Oldsmar, Palm Harbor and New Port Richey area for the last 13 years. She enjoys all aspects in the field of veterinary medicine with a special interest in feline medicine, dermatology and internal medicine.
